MIDSCO Mechanical was recently called in to resolve issues with aging LTHW pumps at a local hospital. After a detailed survey of the existing system, we partnered with AJH Pumps to design a modern, energy-saving solution using Grundfos inverter-driven pumps.
The project involved a full pipework upgrade, including the installation of new pipework, isolation valves, strainers, differential pressure switches and 3-port control valves. Working alongside MIDSCO Electrical, we completed all electrical works and BMS cabling on time and to the highest standards.
The upgrade was carefully executed with minimal downtime, ensuring there was no disruption to the hospital’s heating system.
The result? A highly satisfied client, significant energy efficiency improvements and as a testament to our work, the hospital has now asked MIDSCO to survey additional sites for similar upgrades.
Key Highlights:
- Modern, energy-efficient Grundfos pumps
- Complete pipework and system control upgrade
- Seamless collaboration between mechanical and electrical teams
- Minimal downtime, no disruption to operations
- Positive client feedback and follow-on projects
